I’ve been singing for over seven years now and in the past few months my voice has improved in tremendous ways with the help of Ms. Winchester. I have gained confidence in my abilities as a singer both in my comprehension of music and musicality. She takes the time to help individuals in every way she can at just the right pace based on the individual’s level. My voice has completely transformed with the help of voice lessons which push me past my limits into places I never thought I could reach.

Ms. Winchester has taught me so much about what my voice is capable of. Throughout the past year taking lessons with her I have developed a more focused and strong solo voice. When I was a Sophomore and Junior in high school I was only able to make it to Region Choir in the TMEA All State process; thanks to her this year I made it into All-State.

As a parent, I cannot recommend Kate enough. My daughter studied under Kate’s direction during her senior year of high school. As a result, she was able to grow her talent tremendously as a choral vocalist, so much so that she placed first in the high school region competition, first in pre-area, and overall ninth in area competition. Not only is Kate an extraordinarily gifted teacher, she is also incredibly supportive and a fantastic mentor. None of the previous three vocal teachers my daughter studied under came close to cultivating the nurturing, enriching environment that allowed her to thrive the way she did in her senior year. Kate encourages her students to broaden their horizons and develop a drive to constantly improve, but moreover, she instills a sense of confidence that cannot be overstated in its importance to a young musician.
